Time To Go Shopping In France Again

I go across the Channel about three times per year just to buy things like wine, beer, cheese and perfumes from the hypermarkets around Calais. I buy more than this, of course, but those things are my main aim.

Unfortunately I live in the North of England, so I have to go south to use the Dover to Calais route as it is the quickest. This suits me because I have family to stay over night with close to Dover, so it isn’t such a long drive.

Although I only travel by ferry over to Calais to visit the hypermarkets, I would also like to take a similar route and drive through to Paris, which is something I have wanted to do for a while and do some sightseeing and romantic dining.

The best way to find a good price for the Channel crossing is to compare on the ferries to france site. Most companies only give you their particular price for a crossing, but you can compare several possibilities here. If you want the best deal, check it out here. After all, if you are going shopping, you want to spend as little as possible on getting there. I like to travel cheap and keep my money for all that gorgeous wine and cheese.
